We had such a great time at DFW Fiber Fest. It is always fun to see friends and this even some family! My (KnittingRose) Dad came up to join the fun on Sunday afternoon. I had such a good time showing him around and letting him see how crazy the world of knitting really can be.
Brad (the BigTexan) was able to help out for the entire weekend. He hasn't been able to come to the last few fiber festivals, so this was a refreshing change for the two of us. Since I taught a class on Saturday afternoon, it was trial by fire for Brad.
There was some excitement because Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (the Yarn Harlot) was teaching this weekend. But WOW! She had to rush home to her daughter and greet a Grandson! It is her first Grandchild and even though we missed her fun and informative classes, we are happy to congratulate her new role as Grandma! Congratulations to Stephanie!
If you weren't able to make it to this fun event, I am sorry! I hope you can make it next year.
Now I have to start getting ready to go to Stitches United up in Hartford, Connecticut. I will be traveling with the Buffalo Wool Company to Maryland Sheep and Wool afterwards, so I hope to meet up with you there.
