In Between & Like Love Share

September 10, 2015

In between can refer to places, times or things.  Right now I am between places, times and things!

I just returned from a full blown summer run of retreats.  Zombie Knitpocalypse, Super Summer Knit Together, and Into the Wool are the latest few.  If you have ever been on a knitting retreat then you know they can be awesome and tiring!  It is different when you are vending.  You get to play some (quite a bit sometimes) - but you are always trying to fit your business work in there some where.  I usually stay up late and work on my computer.  Why on earth would I give up knitting time with cool buddies?  When I am at a retreat I feel a bit 'in between'.  Why?  Because I am not exactly relaxing and I am not exactly working.  I always end up having a wonderful time and I usually have to spend a day recharging after I get home.

So what is up next?  Next is Stitches TEXAS!  It is a brand new fiber festival being put on by the Stitches folks.  They decided to come to Texas and play with the knitters here!  Of course Texas is a huge place and they are coming to only one city - but that is ok because it is MY city.  They are coming to the Dallas Fort Worth area and setting up right in the middle at the Irving Convention Center!  AND THAT is where I will be next week.

Since I only have a few days between - I am going to be dyeing up some yarn and trying like the devil to catch up.

If you have any ideas for colors that you would like to see - this is the time to let me know.  You can put requests in the comments.  I love to know what people are looking for and I can always use suggestions.

Oh yeah!  Remember to join the 'Like, Love, Share' that is going on too!  You can win some great prizes and it is fun to show off your thoughts and ideas.

What do I have to do? It is pretty simple, just figure out what you would like to make with BWC American bison yarn, Knitting Rose Yarns, or Windmill Crest Farms; shawl, scarf, sweater, socks, poncho, etc… It can be our pattern, one you find on Ravelry, something from a magazine or book, or even better your own design! Just share your inspirations, it can be a pic of a finished piece, a photo of the yarn and description of what you want to do, it can be a sketch of an idea you had in the shower. It doesn’t have to be your original picture, but you have to post a pic, and tell what yarn you would like to make it from and why. Share it on your Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook pages, and make sure you tag it with ‪#‎STITCHESTexas‬ and ‪#‎STITCHESInspiration‬ ‪#‎KnittingRoseyarns‬ ‪#‎BuffaloWoolCo‬ so we can find it and get you entered) I know its a bunch of tags, but will make it easier for us to see and sort.

BONUS ENTRIES: Because it is a little more hassle, everyone who posts on Instagram, FB, or Twitter, using the hashtags provided gets DOUBLE Entries.

Entries must be posted by Sept 17th 12pm (only one entry per day per person please)

Rip it, rip it

It is very liberating to rip out projects that you do not love.  Don't let a project persuade you into keeping it, just because you have worked on it for a time.
